Ganymede Update
Yesterday I dared to update Eclipse Ganymede to 3.4.1 (Mac OS X 10.5 – Leopard, Java 1.6) by hitting “Help -> Software Updates -> Installed Software -> Update” which was, as usual, not a good idea.
1. Eclipse is not starting anymore
After updating Eclipse was not able to start anymore. I got this error
The eclipse executable launcher was unable to find its companion shared library
The solution is here: http://kirkgsworld.blogspot.com/2008/09/funky-eclipse-error.html
From now on, I have eclipse.ini in my list of the usual suspects.
2. Subversive corrupted
Subversive was not working anymore. The main plugin as well as the connectors seamed to be either uninstalled or corrupted. I fiddled with the update dialog and tried to either unistall or update the partially missing plugins with no success. Finally I found an instruction how to solve the issue in this message
